Drawing is a simple pleasure.

It is a fun thing to discover you like to do something and are reasonably good at it. Not perfect or excellent but better than ok. In my fifties I started drawing the odd thing. Mostly cartoon characters that my children and grandchildren would like.
That lasted a while then I stopped. My recent idea of drawing greeting cards had lead me to this next post. A couple friend of ours lost their mothers within one week of each other. I found a photo of a momma lion and her cub to draw. Here it is.

Our mothers are the one person who we can rely on to always love us more than anyone else in the world. I think this is because we shared her blood, emotions ideas etc. in the womb.

I could be wrong about that but this idea works for me. Even more do I think this since the loss of my own mother. We rethink how we love our parent when they are gone. We wish we were a little cub and could crawl right into her chest and feel mother love one more time.
